My hopefully trying the camera out each night to see if it has changed its mind about the USB not working has paid off, and I downloaded (or did I upload...anyway...) 132 pictures today, hurray! Perhaps it was to do with Picassa changing to Picassa 3. It always seems more hassle than its worth when new versions of things come out and this one is much slower.
